Lessons still to be learnt over schoolsPublished Date: 19 March 2009 Letters page I read the article, Councillor faces complaint after rubbishing SNP over schools (Southern, March 5), with interest, especially Councillor Bhatia's comment: "I most certainly do blame the SNP Government for letting down the children of the Borders." I was not at all surprised that Mrs Bhatia was still playing the blame game while being unwilling to accept any responsibility herself, but I was disappointed. I most certainly do blame Councillor Bhatia (along with Mr G. Rodger) for letting down the children of the Borders. Just look at the Transforming Children’s Services debacle. I wish she would begin to accept responsibility and acknowledge the fact that mistakes have been made. The SNP administration is by no means perfect – but neither is the councillor. L.
